Gerald Rieber, MD

Dr Rieber joined Glacial Lakes Orthopaedics in July 2002. He attended the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his Orthopaedic Residency at the University of Minnesota. Prior to entering the medical field, Dr Rieber was on active duty in the United States Air Force stationed in Texas, South Korea, and Nebraska working in computer and satellite operations.

Dr Rieber and his wife, Tammy have 3 children, Kaitlyn, Abbey, and Evan. He enjoys many outdoor activities including hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and home remodeling/building projects.

Dr Rieber is active in several community organizations. Member and Past president of Watertown District Medical Society, Past President and board member Watertown Area Swim Club, Past Chief of Staff and member of the Medical Executive Committee of Prairie Lakes Health System, and a member of the Quarterback Club. Dr Rieber is a member of the Board of Directors at Prairie Lakes Health System , serves as President of his church and an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 209.

Dr Rieber is a founding member of Sports Medicine Plus, a collaboration of Physicians and Prairie Lakes Hospital to provide Athletic Training services to the Watertown School District and local area athletes and is certified in the ImPACT concussion evaluation program for local athletes. Dr Rieber serves as team physician for Watertown and surrounding schools.
